The piece

Sterling silver signet ring with the MDA crest engraved into the face and a black crystal set at center. Finished in oxidized titanium black, which gives the engraving its depth and lets the crystal carry the focal point.

The shoulders of the ring are slightly stepped — a structural choice that makes the face sit cleanly on the finger and the ring feel substantial. Hand it to someone, they’ll notice the weight.

Why it’s named that

The signet ring is the oldest form of personal identification in Western culture — Roman senators, medieval kings, every man with a name worth pressing into wax. We engraved ours with the MDA crest. The men who wear it know what they’re saying.

Care

The oxidized finish is hand-applied and lightens at the high-wear edges over time. That’s the patina. Wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with lotion, perfume, or chlorine.
