The piece

The same sculpted owl-head form as the silver Athena Noctua, finished in 18k gold over sterling silver. The gold picks up the sculpted feathering in a way the oxidized silver doesn’t — every detail is more legible.

The eyes remain black crystals. The contrast between the gold face and the dark eyes is the design intent.

Why it’s named that

Athena noctua — the little owl. Sacred to the goddess of wisdom. Same story as the silver version, told brighter.

Care

Avoid lotion, perfume, and salt water on the gold finish. Polish only with a soft cloth, never abrasive. The crystal eyes are durable but should not be exposed to chlorine.
